Customize artifact layouts
Configure the information that displays by default on the list of all tracked artifacts for each artifact type.
Prerequisites
Customize artifact layouts by type
Customize what is displayed on your list of all artifacts for each artifact type:
In the left sidebar, click Validation Issues to view a list of validation issues across all records:
Click Manage Columns.
- Search for a column name in the list to narrow down results.
- Toggle visibility for each item and drag each option to change the order.
- Available columns are determined by your validation issue fields.3
Once customized, you can save a view for later application.4
In the left sidebar, click Artifacts to view lists of other artifact types across all records.
Select an artifact type5 to view from the tabs:
- Policy Exception
- Limitation
In the page that opens is a list of all artifacts for that type.
Click Manage Columns.
- Search for a column name in the list to narrow down results.
- Toggle visibility for each item and drag each option to change the order.
- Available columns are determined by your artifact fields.6
Once customized, you can save a view for later application.7
Manage custom artifact views
You can save custom artifact configurations as a view to reapply at any time for each artifact type:
Manage personal artifact views
First, customize an artifact layout.8
You can also apply filters or sorting before saving your view to include them in the view.9
Click on the name of your saved view, or Select View if you are not currently displaying a saved view.
Select My Views (#) and click on Save New View to create your saved view.
Enter the view name and description for your saved view.
Click Add New View to save your saved view.
Once you’ve created a saved personal view, you can share it with others in your organization.10
Deletion of saved views is permanent.
Edit or remove validation issue views
To modify a saved validation issues view:
- In the left sidebar, click Validation Issues for a list of validation issues across all records.
Click on the name of your saved view, or Select View if you are not currently displaying a saved view.
Select My Views (#).
Hover over the name of the view you want to edit or remove.
When the appears, click on it and select:
- Edit View to edit the view name and description. Click Save Changes to apply your edits.
- Remove View to delete the view. Click Yes, Delete View to confirm permanent deletion of that view.
Edit or remove all other artifact type views
To modify a saved view for all other artifact types:
In the left sidebar, click Artifacts for lists of other artifact types across all records, then select an artifact type11 for a list of that artifact type:
- Policy Exception
- Limitation
Click on the name of your saved view, or Select View if you are not currently displaying a saved view.
Select My Views (#).
Hover over the name of the view you want to edit or remove.
When the appears, click on it and select:
- Edit View to edit the view name and description. Click Save Changes to apply your edits.
- Remove View to delete the view. Click Yes, Delete View to confirm permanent deletion of that view.
Manage organization artifact views
- Save a personal artifact view.13
Select My Views (#).
Click on the name of your saved view, or Select View if you are not currently displaying a saved view.
Hover over the name of the view you want to share with your organization.
When the appears, click on it and select Publish to Organization.
(Optional) Edit the view name and description for your shared view.
Click Publish View to share your view with your organization.
Remove saved organization views
To remove a saved organization view:
Deletion of saved views is permanent.
Click on the name of your saved view, or Select View if you are not currently displaying a saved view.
Select Organization (#).
Hover over the view you want to remove from your organization.
When the appears, click on it and select Remove View.
Click Yes, Remove View to confirm permanent deletion of that view.
