Register with ValidMind

Register with our cloud-hosted ValidMind Platform UI, so you can begin working with model documentation or configure ValidMind for your organization.

With an email address or a Google,¹ GitHub,² or Microsoft³ account, you can gain access to ValidMind in two ways:

1. Sign up independently
2. Accept an invite

Prerequisites

• Access to ValidMind via the public internet.
• Alternatively, you have been invited by someone else in your organization to join ValidMind.
• Additionally, an email address that is able to receive messages from ValidMind.⁴

⁴ To receive invitation and verification emails from ValidMind, you may need to first request that your IT allow-list our owned domains or retrieve any messages sent by:

1. validmind.ai
2. validmind.com

For most users, someone with the Customer Admin role⁵ will invite you to your organization.

Sign up independently

This method will allow you to create a brand new organization to which your account will be linked to as a Customer Admin user.

Choose this method if you intend to set up your organization for your institution.

1. In a web browser, open one of the the URLs for the ValidMind Platform UI:

   Name	Provider	Region	URL
   US1	AWS	us-east-1	https://app.prod.validmind.ai
   CA1	AWS	ca-west-1	https://app.ca1.validmind.ai

   If unsure which URL to use, we recommend US1 or consult your organization for data stewardship requirements.⁶

2. On the welcome screen, click Sign up.

3. Enter your email address and input a secure, unique password, or choose one of the single sign-on options to link to your account:

   • Continue with Google
   • Continue with GitHub
   • Continue with Microsoft Account

⁶ For example: If your data must stay in Canada, use CA1.

4. Click Continue.

5. Complete your user profile details:

   • first name — Your given name.
   • last name — Your surname.
   • organization⁷ — The name of your organization you are setting up ValidMind on behalf of.
   • job title — Your role at your organization.

6. Review the terms and conditions, then select Yes, I accept the terms & conditions⁸ to indicate that you accept them.

   Optionally, select the following if desired:

   1. Yes, sign me up for updates from ValidMind⁹ — Sign up for news from ValidMind
   2. Yes, I want to join your online community¹⁰ — Request to join our online community

7. Check the email inbox for the address you used to sign up with ValidMind for the following email:

   • From: no-reply@validmind.ai
   • Subject: “Verify your email”

8. Click Confirm my account to gain full access to ValidMind.

9. Return to the main ValidMind dashboard¹¹ by clicking on Back to ValidMind.

Accept an invite

This method will allow you to register as user linked to your institution’s existing organization.

These steps require that you have been invited¹³ by a Customer Admin user to join your organization on ValidMind.

¹³ User invitations

1. Check the email inbox for the address you provided your organization to be associated with ValidMind for the following email:

   • From: no-reply@validmind.ai
   • Subject: “{User} invited you to join ValidDemo on ValidMind”

   {User} is replaced with the name of the Customer Admin or other user who invited you to join.

If you cannot locate this email, you may need to review your spam or junk mail folders and filters, or request that your IT allow-list our owned domains or retrieve any messages sent by:

1. validmind.ai
2. validmind.com

2. Within the email, click Accept Invitation.

3. On the page that opens up in your web browser, click Accept Invitation.

4. On the Welcome screen, enter your email address and input a secure, unique password, or choose one of the single sign-on options to link to your account:

   • Continue with Google
   • Continue with GitHub
   • Continue with Microsoft Account

Make sure that the email or account you use to link to ValidMind is the one that was invited to join your organization.

5. Check the email inbox for the address you used to sign up with ValidMind for the following email:

   • From: no-reply@validmind.ai
   • Subject: “Verify your email”
